From the moment the shrimps are caught, from processing to manufacturing the quality control is maintained by Mr Peet - Director of the Southport Shrimps.

Once the shrimps are selected they are:-
  • Cooked in salts, peppers, spices and butter (to a refined historic recipe).
  • The cooked shrimps are left to chill.
  • Weighed into pots.
  • Capped with a thin layer of butter.
  • Rapidly frozen to preserve the unique and distinctive flavour that only comes from Southport Brown Shrimps.
This whole process is tested and sampled periodically by local authority Environmental Health in accordance with European legislation.
